1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the AttendEase mobile application (Android package: com.attendease.bunksmart) or visiting this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must uninstall the App and discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of Service

AttendEase is a personal academic management tool that helps students:

• Track daily class attendance (Present, Absent, Late, Cancelled).
• Calculate bunk budgets and safe-skip thresholds based on college minimum attendance criteria.
• Manage timetables, assignments, exams, and holidays.
• Optionally auto-mark attendance via background location proximity detection.
• Optionally sync data to the cloud and join Social Squads with friends.

Certain features (auto-marking always-on, cloud sync, expanded squad limits, ad-free experience) are reserved for Pro subscribers.

3. Eligibility

AttendEase is intended for use by high school and university/college students. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction). If you are under 13, you may not use this App.

4. Local-First Architecture

AttendEase is designed as a local-first application. By default, all your data is stored exclusively on your device.

5. Accounts & Cloud Sync

Creating an account (via email/password or Google Sign-In) is optional. If you create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration.
• Cloud Sync (available to Pro subscribers) backs up your academic data to our Supabase servers. We do not view, analyze, or use your synced data for any purpose other than providing the sync service.
• App Improvement & Data Collection: We collect and receive mobile info, location data, and other diagnostics only if you voluntarily select/opt-in to send them to us to improve our app.
• You can request complete account and data deletion at any time (see Section 10).

6. Pro Subscription & Billing

AttendEase offers premium subscriptions to unlock additional features:

• Pricing: ₹1 introductory trial (then ₹50/month), ₹300/year, or ₹500 one-time lifetime. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency on the Google Play Store.
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. We do not directly handle your payment card information.
• Cancellation: You can cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through Google Play Store → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play Store refund policies.
• Pro Features Include: Always-on auto-marking, cloud backup and sync, up to 10 active squads with up to 50 members per squad, and a completely ad-free experience.
• Free Tier Limits: Up to 5 active squads with up to 8 members per squad. Auto-marking available via daily ad unlock.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AttendEase responsibly and lawfully. You shall not:

• Use the App to fraudulently misrepresent your attendance to your educational institution.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Abuse the Social Squads feature to harass, spam, or impersonate other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' data.

AttendEase is a personal self-management tool. Final responsibility for your academic attendance and academic standing rests entirely with you.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, and branding associated with AttendEase are the intellectual property of the developer (Harda Josh) and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

AttendEase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy of bunk budget calculations or attendance percentages.
• Reliability of background location auto-marking (which may be affected by device battery optimization, GPS accuracy, or OS restrictions).
• Availability or uptime of cloud sync services.

We do not accept liability for academic penalties, missed classes, incorrect attendance records, or any other consequences resulting from your use of the App.

10. Account Deletion

You may request complete deletion of your cloud account and all associated data by:

• Using the account deletion option in the App's Settings screen, or
• Emailing waytokairo@gmail.com with your registered email address.

Upon request, all cloud-stored data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Local data on your device is not affected and must be deleted separately.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, academic consequences, or device issues.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
